Small-Format Cameras, Continued Camera adjustments The body of 35mm cameras with interchangeable lenses have an ISO selection dial, a focal plane (shutter speed dial), a frame indicator, a film release, and a light meter.    Focus rings and aperture rings are usually part of the lens. ISO selection dial The International Standards Organization rates each film for sensitivity by assigning it a numerical code. Located on top of a camera body is a small dial with numbers that incrementally increase or decrease by hundreds, for example, 200, 400, or 1000. Set the dial to the number that most closely corresponds to the ISO ratings on the film cassette you are using. Some cameras require the operator to lift the dial before turning it to the appropriate ISO number. Figure 7-10 is an example of a film-speed dial. Figurre  7-10.—Film-speed dial.
