Oblique Projections, ContinuedAnglesWhen an angle of a specific degree lies in a receding plane, you must covertthe angle into linear measurements before drawing the angle in obliqueprojection. Remember that in a cabinet projection, you must reduce allreceding dimensions by the same reduced scale.SectionsSections in oblique projections are often used to show interior or hiddenshapes. Oblique half sections where you remove only a quarter of the objectis the most common section used because it shows so much more of theinterior surface. Oblique full sections where the plane of intersection passescompletely through the object are seldom used. You may use all types ofsectional views in an oblique projection.Figure 6-10 shows a half and full section of an oblique projection.Figure 6-10.—An oblique projection with a halfsection and full section removed.Continued on next page6-13
