The master art need not betranslucent to reproduce on a copier. The only requirement is to change thepaper in the paper tray for acetate. The acetate foil produces a black imageon a clear or colored background. The primary disadvantage of athermographic or electronically produced viewgraph is that the image is asurface deposit of toner that may crack and flake off or be easily scraped.Computer-generatedproductionComputers are capable of producing viewgraphs. Several software packagesoffer image and text integration for export as a viewgraph and/or paperproducts. The computer is. also capable of displaying these images on amonitor or projecting images on a screen much like an overhead projector.With some presentation software packages, you can command a computer tochange images automatically by entering the seconds of display desired andthe mode of transition.Continued on next page2-43
