Transferring
triangles
To transfer triangles to another location or drawing surface, use this table:

Given triangle ABC, set off any side (AB) in the new location.

Set the compass to the distance of line AC. Place your compass
point at A and strike an arc.

Set the compass for the distance between AB. Place your compass
point at B and strike an arc to intersect with the arc drawn from C.

Draw straight lines from A to C and B to C.
