When absolute accuracy is important, use the tangent, sine, orchord method. A table of trigonometric tables listing tangent, sine, andchord values is located in the back of this book.TANGENT METHOD: The tangent method of angle construction is atrigonometric function of an acute angle to find the ratio of the length of theside opposing the angle to the length of the side adjacent to the angle. Infigure 2-34, the tangent of angle is y/x, and y=x tan . To construct theangle, assign a simple value to x, in this case 10. The larger the number, themore accurate the construction.
