All administrativecorrespondence is based on this system, which consists of five sections andthirteen major subject groups. Primarily numeric, further cross-referencingand subdivision yield a highly flexible filing system. When you withdraw afile from the system, use a Chargeout Record to indicate where a filebelongs. Chargeout Records information is covered in the “Forms” segmentof this chapter.Figure 1-9 shows the five sections and thirteen major subject codes of theFigure 1-9.—SSIC.This instruction prescribes policy and procedures for reporting controlled orpilferable equipment, precious metals/metal recovery, and gear on minorplant property cards that is missing, lost, stolen, or recovered. Annual sightinventories of custody card items will highlight discrepancies in shopequipment. An enclosure lists MLSR definitions and terminology.
