Mark each disk or diskette with stick-on labelsidentifying the overall security classification and permanently assignedidentification numbers. Ifdisks contain classified material, degauss or erase them before destruction.Handle and dispose of printer ribbons and carbon papers used toprint/transfer classified information according to the highest classificationlevel of the data printed by that ribbon or carbon.
